Spreading God's Word

SINCE 2007

We are a church that is a family.  We desire to see others join our family by knowing and following our Savior Jesus Christ.  We work hard to imitate the first church in Acts 2 to be a tight knit community that seeks Jesus in all that we do.  We desire to be a church family in meaningful ways all throughout the week (not just on Sundays) & throughout our community.  We are not a perfect church nor do we want to portray ourselves to be one, but we strive to follow Christ everyday.

Our Team

The staff and leadership here at NOCC is comprised of men and women who love, care and pray for every single person in the church. If you have any questions for any of our staff, feel free to reach out and email them. You can contact the church office at contact@neworleanscommunitychurch.com

  • Jason McReynolds  - Pastor

Our pastor loves to be with people.  He does not embrace the idea of the celebrity pastor or a church built upon a speaker's charisma.  Jason loves to make hospital visits when we are sick or for new babies (which we have a lot of!).  He loves to pray with us in our pains and our joys.  He loves discipleship and walking with the church that God has given him.  He loves hanging out with his wife and 3 kids.  They always come first.  And of course, he loves taking long walks on the beach picking up starfish and throwing them back one by one (that's what you expected right?).

  • Belinda Williams - Music Leader

Belinda is an Australian born singer/songwriter who has been in the U.S. since the later part of 2013.  She has a love for singing about the heart and word of God in worship.  In her native country, she performed in a wide variety of settings from churches, theatres and festivals to tropical islands, remote aboriginal communities and everything in between.  How awesome is that!  Belinda and her husband Cornell share a passion for prayer, music and travel. Belinda has also enjoyed helping expand the vocabulary of the NOCC community with new 'Aussie' language skills.  "Good on ya mate!"  We unintentionally learn a phrase almost every Sunday!  Our new language skills are definitely making us smarter!  Thanks Belinda!

OUR DESIRE

NOCC is a non-denominational church that began on the first Sunday of January 2007 with a simple goal; to help people start and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ.  With the help of people committed to seeing that dream fulfilled, the church has experienced steady growth.  We are intentionally a small church as many of our people go out to help start new churches all over the nation.  We desire to grow only as large as we can know each person deeply and then plant another church in the New Orleans area.  We are not seeking to be the next trendy church, just a church that listens to God's voice and follows Him.

We love the model of the first church that gathered in Acts chapter 2 verse 42.  They kept things simple: teach Jesus, spend time together, eat & take communion together, & pray together.  We work hard to replicate this model throughout each week.  While we are a modern church with a band and interactive messages, we are not trying to impress or put on a show.  We just want to worship Jesus.  We understand that a church is not a building or just a worship service, but a group of people who have placed their lives in Jesus' hands.  We want to help people in the greater New Orleans area see the love Christ has for them.

Our Beliefs

We believe that living for Jesus Christ is the only way to live life.  We believe that we are sinners and only trusting our lives to Jesus will save us.  We believe that Jesus has forgiven those who give their lives to Him by dying on the cross.  We believe that the bible is true and is the foundation for knowing our Heavenly Father.  We believe that the Holy Spirit guides and leads those who know Jesus.  We know we are imperfect.  We know the church is a hospital for sinners who know Jesus.  We believe that the church is a group of people who need to deal out mercy and grace to one another as an imitation of our Savior.  We believe that we are to share Jesus with those around us to grow His kingdom.
